Make a new blog post titled Supplies. Question: Have you ever had to make a choice about something in your life? Why did you have to make the choice? What did you have to give up? Were you happy with the choice you made?
The pioneers had to make choices all throughout their journey on the trail. First, the pioneers had to decide what supplies they would bring with them. Because there was limited space in each wagon, pioneers often had to leave behind many of their favorite things. Food, water, and medical supplies were very important to the pioneers because the journey would be long to Oregon and there were no stores along the trail.
Today you will make choices about what you will bring on the trail. You will be given 1000 BMUs (bulk weight units) and will have to choose supplies from your supply list that are most important to you to bring.
